"Trökes began teaching at the art academy in Hamburg. However, work and the environment constrained him after so many years of freedom. He lost too much time for his own work and returned to Ibiza one and a half years later. Only a few paintings were created in Hamburg, but beautiful coloured pencil drawings and many lithographs; Trökes, who headed the graphics class, made a virtue of necessity. Production resumed in 1958, with zest and a joy in invention”.
